IAESTE asbl.

The Offical site of IAESTE asbl. The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience was founded in 1948 at Imperial College, London. Imperial College Vacation Work Committee headed by Mr James Newby initiated a meeting with national organisations from 10 European countries in a post war effort to promote better understanding between countries and cultures. Since 1948, the association has grown to include more than 80 countries world-wide and has exchanged in excess of 300,000 students. This means that yearly IAESTE exchanges around 6000 students playing a key role in the development of technical undergraduates able to make their mark in a global economy.

AIPT

The Official Site of AIPT, the Association for International Practical Training, IAESTE United States' Parent Organization. AIPT provides educational and professional exchange experiences that enhance cultural awareness, develop global competencies, mutual understanding, and international cooperation. A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and designated sponsor of Exchange Visitor Programs, AIPT is authorized by the U.S. Department of State to issue form DS-2019, the document required to enter the United States on a J-1 visa

Bureau of Consular Affairs, U.S. Department of State
The Bureau of Consular Affairs provides travel announcements and warnings for countries and regions around the world, along with a range of services to Americans living and traveling overseas. The Bureau of Consular Affairs can also be reached at: 317-472-2328, 8 am through 8 pm, Monday through Friday, and 202-647-5225 after hours, weekends and holidays.

British Foreign & Commonwealth Office
The British FCO provides travel tips, specific country advice, and many of the same types of services to British subjects that the State Department Bureau of Consular Affairs provides to US citizens.

Centers for Disease Control
The CDC provides information on health conditions, required inoculations, and other valuable information for students and other travelers.

International Association for Medical Assistance to Travelers
IAMAT is a non-profit organization established in 1960. Its aim is to advise travelers about health risks, the geographical distribution of diseases worldwide, immunization requirements for all countries, and to make competent medical care available to travelers by western-trained doctors who speak English besides their mother tongue.
