Photo Contest

IAESTE United States is proud to announce the third annual Nathan Harrell Photo Award contest. This award pays tribute to Nathan Harrell, a dedicated LC member, IAESTE alumnus, and good friend to many IAESTE members both in the U.S. and abroad whose life was prematurely cut short in January of 2004.

Nathan was a talented and inspiring photographer and the winner of the 2003 IAESTE photo contest. His photos detailed his IAESTE internship in Thailand and illustrated his spirit of adventure and enthusiasm for the outdoors. It is our hope that the contest will honor Nathan’s spirit and inspire other young IAESTE students to explore the world.

Submission guidelines:

Open to any student who has completed an IAESTE internship or shot-term program in 2008.
An IAESTE intern or program participant must be in the photo.
Students are welcome and encouraged to submit multiple photos.
Digital photos are acceptable as long as the file is 300 dpi or greater at 4 x 6 inches.
All entries must be received by IAESTE United States by December 1, 2008; please mail or e-mail to the address below. Results will be posted on our website.
If e-mailing photos, please keep messages under 8MB. Feel free to send multiple messages if needed.
Include your name, the year, the title of the photo(s), and a brief description – location, students pictured, and the event that was taking place.
All submissions become the property of IAESTE United States for use in any future publicity and publications.
We are particularly looking for IAESTE at Work entries, so bring your camera to work!
All photos submitted must be in good taste and alcohol should not be present.
Winners will receive:
- Grand prize: $100 American Express gift certificate
- Category prizes (1st and 2nd place): IAESTE fleece pullovers
