Announcing the 2008 IAESTE United States National Conference!
Baltimore, MD | February 7 - 10, 2008 | Visit the Official Web site!

Since 1999, the IAESTE United States National Conference has provided a forum for increasing international understanding. The conference brings together students from the country's top science and engineering universities, as well as professional members from many technical disciplines.

This year’s theme, The “I” Factor: Make It Work for You, focuses on the many qualities, experiences, and skills necessary for a successful global technical professional – many happen to be ‘i’ words, such as: international, ingenuity, interdependence, intelligence, ideas, innovation, and, of course, IAESTE.

Attendees take part in educational sessions and workshops designed to promote leadership, cross cultural understanding and technical career development. Topics for workshops include leadership in a global context, international opportunities for students and professionals, volunteerism, and much more. Some sessions include:

  • The Well-Rounded Engineer
  • Résumé Writing
  • Ethical Issues in Engineering and Science
  • Globalization: Shortening the distance around the world through innovation
  • Introduction to the Culture of India

Is your business looking for talented and ambitious candidates? If so, you should register an as exhibitor for the 2008 IAESTE United States Global Opportunities Fair, which takes place on Friday, February 8, 2008.
