IAESTE United States uses its network of more than 80 international counterparts and annual applicant pool of 30,000 students to locate a highly qualified technical or scientific intern that meets your company's needs. In addition, for each international intern that your company hosts, one U.S. student is able to intern abroad.
To Begin The Process:
- During the fall, describe your company or research institute's need for an intern in the spring, including qualifications and timeframe, by completing an Offer of Training form.
- In January, we will exchange your offer with one of our 80+ IAESTE counterparts, who will then nominate a highly qualified student candidate.
- During the spring, you accept or reject the candidate. If you accept, IAESTE United States finalizes all of the paperwork, including the J-1 visa authorization.
Fees
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, IAESTE United States depends on program fees to offset the costs of administering programs. The per-intern fee includes health insurance, assuring that your international intern is insured for the duration of his or her program.
In addition, all interns must be paid. On the Offer of Training form, you must state the salary, which should cover living expenses; most IAESTE interns are paid between $8 and $12 per hour.

Local Committees
IAESTE Local Committees are student-run groups located at more than 25 of the nation's top technical universities. These students provide several services for your intern, including:
- airport pickup
- locating housing
- Social Security card application
- cultural activities
- a young social network composed of U.S. technical students
If there is a local committee in your area, you can take advantage of these benefits for no additional fee, and focus solely on the internship. For a list of participating universities, please click here.

Ready to host an international intern? Simply download and complete the IAESTE Placement Service Employer of Training form below. Please return the form electronically. The signature page must be authorized with an original signature, but may be faxed or scanned.
